A simple checklist to get ready for Amazon and Flipkart sales
What to do a week before, a day before and during a big sale, so you buy the right thing at a genuinely good price.

Big sales move fast. Popular items sell out, prices change through the day and bank offers have fine print. A little preparation means you spend the sale buying instead of searching.
A week before
- Make a short list of what you actually need, with the exact model and variant.
- Note today’s price for each item on two or three stores, so you can tell a real deal from a relabelled one.
- Check which bank cards each store’s sale offers apply to, and which of those cards you have.
- Save your delivery address and payment details in each store’s app.
The day before
- Add your items to the cart or wishlist on each store.
- Update the shopping apps and log in, so you aren’t stuck on a sign-in screen when the sale opens.
- Check whether early access applies to you, such as Amazon Prime or Flipkart VIP and Plus members.
During the sale
- Compare the final price, after the bank offer you qualify for, across stores before paying.
- Check the seller, the warranty and the return window, not just the price.
- Don’t panic-buy because of a countdown timer. Prices often come back during the same sale, or the next one.
