Most sale banners in India show a price that assumes some kind of offer. Knowing how each type works helps you see what you will really pay.
Instant bank discounts
Stores partner with banks to give an instant discount when you pay with a specific credit or debit card. These usually have a minimum order value and a maximum discount, and some apply only on EMI. If you don’t hold that card, the banner price isn’t your price.
No-cost EMI
No-cost EMI means the interest is given back to you as a discount, so the total matches the selling price. Read the fine print: a processing fee or GST on the interest can still apply, and choosing EMI can remove other discounts.
Coupons
Coupons are codes or click-to-apply offers on the product page. They are usually limited to certain products, new users or a minimum cart value. Always check that the coupon has actually been applied at checkout before paying.
Cashback
Cashback is paid after the purchase, often as store credit or wallet balance rather than money in your bank. It can take days or weeks to arrive and may need the order to pass its return window first.
Stacking them
Bank discounts and coupons can often be combined, while exchange offers and EMI may change which other offers apply. The safest approach is to add the product to your cart, try the combinations at checkout, and compare the final payable amount across stores.
Tip:Compare the final amount on the payment page, not the price on the product page. That is the only number that is guaranteed.
